Connecting to an IVN class from a scheduled campus IVN room
Connecting is different depending on which room you are located in for your class, please make sure to read carefully to make sure you are looking at the proper instructions for the room you are in.
For either option below please make sure the TV and projector are turned on in the room, in most rooms they do not turn on automatically so please make sure that these are turned on.
If you are scheduled in one of our newer ZOOM rooms:
ANY of the following rooms:
(GVC - G207, Fine Arts - F214) (MCC- M101) (NCC - N109) (RCC - R126, R147, R244) (ATC - T205)
Your meeting should start automatically 5 minutes before the scheduled start time and automatically end when it is scheduled to. If you are in the room before the automatic start time you should see a schedule on the TV or Projector showing what classes are listed for that room that day. If your class is not listed or does not connect automatically please see someone working on campus or contact the help desk @ 304-929-6725 for assistance.
If you are scheduled in one of our older IVN rooms:
ANY of the following rooms:
(GVC - G305, G306, G307) (MCC - M107, M110, M114) (NCC - N104, N105, N106) (RCC - R144, R201) (ATC - T302) (ORU Classroom)
You should see the below information hanging somewhere in the classroom and/ or laying on a table in the room.
If you do not see your class listed in the directory mentioned in the image above, please contact the help desk @ 304-929-6725 or speak with someone who works at the campus location you are on for assistance.
Please remember to press the "hang up" button on the remote at the end of your class.
Connecting to an IVN class while NOT at a campus location
(NOTE: Speak with your instructor to make sure it is ok for you to join from a non campus location before following these instructions)
If you do not already have the Zoom app for your device please download it from https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting for windows and MAC computers or from your devices app store (ZOOM cloud meetings) for other devices.
Once you have the app, you can join using one of two ways:
- Obtain the meeting ID from your instructor, open the ZOOM app on the home page of the app click "Join" then enter the meeting ID and join.
- Navigate to your course in Blackboard, click on "Zoom" from the left hand menu within the course, find the meeting for that day and click "Join". (Note: you may get a pop up asking to open with Zoom meetings app, please allow this app)
